Snapshots from Kuala Terengganu

Just some snapshots from Kuala Terengganu. Didn't really take much pictures, compare to the amount we usually take.

The exit of which we enter the exhibition tent with.

Tenaga booth, right in opposite ours.

A clown clowning around.

Pandu-pandu cari makan.

The chinese restaurant that we had our dinner last nite. Food is ok.

The view from 10th floor of Grand Continental Hotel.

That's all lah. Might post some Redang pics soon.

@ PNB Exhibition, Kuala Terengganu

I am still kind of dissapointed with my botched attempt to post up pictures of my trip to Pulau Redang. The scenery there is breathtaking, and the marine park is majestic. It brought me back to the memories of watching The Little Mermaid. Lol.

Right now I'm at PNB (Permodalan Nasional Berhad) exhibition here in Kuala Terengganu. And through experience, I thought maybe my lap top might help me kill some time over here.

And guess what?! They even have Wi Fi here!!! Lol. We knew TM will have a booth as well, and just take our chances hoping that they will have WiFi here as well. And it turns out TM is not the only company that turn on WiFi.

Below is the picture of the surau outside the huge exhibition tent.

What does the pic of surau stands for? I don't know lah...just looking for a pic to post it up. :p

Miscommunication in Pizza Hut

Called Pizza Hut Delivery Hotline to make 2 orders.

1st order is to be sent to my office in Taman Midah.
2nd order is to be sent home in Taman Bukit Permai.

And payment for both orders were to be made in Taman Midah.

So, the delivery guy came to Taman Midah and my gf made the payment for 2 receipts. But, upon further inspection into the receipts, we found out that one of the receipts are meant for a customer named Fanny, from Taman Supreme. WTF??!!

I called my sister at home, and she said they paid the delivery guy also. Damnit. Someone's getting free lunch.

I immediately called up Pizza Hut, and they admitted to their error. The branch manager Pizza Hut Taman Connaught called and said he will send the delivery guy back to Taman Midah to refund us the payment we've made for Taman Supreme.

BUT...at the same time, the delivery guy from Taman Putra went back to Taman Bukit Permai to refund back the charges for Taman Bukit Permai.

LMAO.

Now we get free lunch!! lol.

Being in retail line, whenever there is a stock lost reported in the boutique, all the boutique staff will be required to pay for the loss. Thus, we do not want the lowly paid delivery guy to bear this loss, and we called back Pizza Hut. They had a hard time figuring out the situation. LOL.

Now their delivery guy is coming back to Taman Midah to get the payment for Taman Bukit Permai. Lol.

What a cocks-up!! And that's Pizza Hut.

Jo's envy

Hehe...

This post gonna make Jo goes green. She was in Langkawi one day after I came back from Langkawi. As usual, if you stay there for more than 2 nites, you are entitled to 1 bottle of liquor per person.

Me and my gf bought a bottle of JD and Johnnie Walker. And we also bought the super cute baby liquor, which Jo did not buy!! Hehehe...

My collection of whiskeys. The Chivas was bought in the Hong Kong's Airport.

The mother whiskey and their kids. Lol.

The Chivas Bros. 12, 21 & 18 years old.

I have few more, but I guess these few pics are more than enough to make Jo envious. Hehehe...so bad lah me... :p

A rare gem

In this modern era of football, where pornographic amount of money (as describe by the President of FIFA, Sepp Blatter) are being thrown around to the players, it is very hard to find a sincere servant who will play with their heart, and will die for their club.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is one very rare gem in the world of football today. He arrived at Old Trafford a virtual unknown in July 1996, costing only £1.5million , from Norwegian club, Molde.

And his salary? A meagre £13 000 per week. I repeat, meagre! Well, it's a meagre sum when players like Roy Keane, Beckham, RVN...are taking home 4 or 5 times what he is taking. And he NEVER complained! His contract were renewed few years ago, which I don't remember when, cos it was renewed WITHOUT any hassle.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signs a new 2 year contract. pic not by At.

In fact, he didn't even ask for a pay rise, but the club offered him an increment to £30 000 per week, and it is still relatively meagre, compare to what players like Rooney or Ferdinand are taking home. But he never really complain, because he just loves playing for Man Utd. He's almost born and bred Man Utd. It's a shame he is not part of the Class of '92. You will be even more surprised if you finds out that he grew up supporting Liverpoo!

No wonder Sir Alex is willing to offer him a 2-year contract when his current one expire at the end of this season. Man Utd almost never offer anyone at the age of over 30 a 2-year contract. This show how much he is treasured by Man Utd. If we have more players like Ole, tickets to football matches will be more affordable, and football jerseys will not cost you your arm, or leg.

Below is an excerpt of news from
Man Utd Official Website

Solskjaer Pens New Reds Deal

"Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed a new two-year contract with United, which will keep him at the club until June 2008.

The new contract takes the 33-year-old Norwegian forward to the age of 35, and manager Sir Alex Ferguson says the deal will allow Ole to develop coaching experience.

“I am delighted that Ole has signed a new two year deal," Sir Alex said. "It reflects our hope that he would return to full play after his recent cheek injury.

"Ole has always adopted a positive position in that respect and his positive attitude gave him a big chance to come back. It will take Ole to thirty five and gives him the opportunity to develop his coaching experience.

"We also foresee him having a key role as an ambassador for the Club in the future,” the Reds boss added.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “I have always felt at home here and I want to repay the loyalty that has been shown to me by the club, the fans and Sir Alex.

"It has been a difficult and frustrating few years for me but I’m determined to prove my worth over the next few years and I am sure I can contribute to the team and their success. Although my priority is to keep playing I am looking forward to exploring the coaching opportunity being given to me by the club.

"I have spent many happy years at Old Trafford and it will be a great privilege to represent the Club in a wider role.”
